Authorized Management Committee

Chris Allen
Chris Allen serves as Group CEO at Quintet Private Bank. Allen previously served as Head of Global Private Banking, EMEA, at HSBC. Over 15 years at that firm, he held a series of roles of increasing responsibility, including CEO, Alternative Investments, and CEO, HSBC Private Bank UK. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Director at Colliers Capital, where he focused on growing the firm’s fund management business, and as Head of Real Estate Fund Management at a major Middle East bank. Allen holds a degree and investment diploma from Sheffield, City and Cambridge universities.
Bryan Crawford
Bryan Crawford serves as Group Head of Investment & Client Solutions and member of the Authorized Management Committee at Quintet Private Bank, having joined the firm in 2019. He earlier served as Hong Kong-based APAC Head of Product Sales and Global Head of Alternatives & Funds Distribution at UBS Wealth Management, where he worked for seven years. Previously, he served at J.P. Morgan Investment Bank for 18 years in a range of positions, including EMEA Head of Technology Investment Banking and Head of Private Client Advisory. He began his career in 1990 in the Investment Banking division at Goldman Sachs. Crawford, a mathematics and computer engineering graduate of Trinity College Dublin, earned his MBA at INSEAD.
Nicholas Harvey
Nicholas Harvey serves as Group CFO and member of the Authorized Management Committee at Quintet Private Bank. Most recently Deputy CEO of Precision Capital, Harvey earlier served as Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Management Board at Amlin Europe. He also advised banks and insurers across Europe for 10 years as a consultant with McKinsey. English by birth but raised in Belgium, Harvey graduated from Louvain University in Belgium and holds an MBA from Kellogg in the United States.
Christine Lynch
Christine Lynch serves as Group Chief Risk Officer and member of the Authorized Management Committee at Quintet Private Bank, subject to regulatory approval. Lynch has over 25 years of experience in Europe, the UK and the Middle East. She previously served as Chief Risk Officer, Wholesale and Markets & Securities Services, and Head of Enterprise Risk, Europe, at HSBC. Earlier, she served as HSBC’s Regional Chief Risk Officer for the Middle East, North Africa & Turkey and as Chair of Board Risk Committees in several Gulf states. Lynch holds a BSc in Financial Services from the University of Manchester and a BA in Modern Languages from the University of Bath.
Siegried Marissens
Siegfried Marissens serves as Secretary General and member of the Authorized Management Committee at Quintet Private Bank. In that capacity, he leads Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Center, while also overseeing the firm’s Legal and Data Protection Office functions. Over his nearly 30-year career at Quintet Private Bank, Marissens has held a range of roles, commencing as a portfolio manager in Luxembourg, then holding the same position at Brown Shipley, the group’s UK affiliate. Since 2001, he has held roles with significant pan-European dimensions. He earned his degree in commercial engineering at the University of Antwerp, complemented by an MA in macroeconomics from the College of Europe in Bruges.
Simon Spilsbury
Simon Spilsbury serves as Group Chief Compliance Officer at Quintet Private Bank and member of the Authorized Management Committee. Spilsbury previously served as Regional Chief Compliance Officer, Continental Europe, at HSBC in Paris, where he was responsible for activities in 19 countries across multiple business lines, including private banking and asset management. Earlier in his career, he served at firms such as Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Citibank. He holds certifications from the International Capital Markets Association and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
 
Anna Zakrzewski
Anna Zakrzewski serves as Group Chief Operating Officer and member of the Authorized Management Committee at Quintet Private Bank, subject to regulatory approval. She earlier served for over two decades at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as Managing Director & Partner, rising to member of BCG’s global Financial Institutions Leadership team and leading the Wealth Management segment globally for many years. Zakrzewski, a German national, was educated in the Middle East, Europe, the UK and Australia.

Board of Directors

Rory Tapner
Rory Tapner was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quintet Private Bank in May 2020. He brings more than 20 years of board-level experience at financial services firms to this important role, including as Chairman of the Board at Brown Shipley, Quintet’s UK affiliate. Over the course of his career, Tapner has held roles such as Global Head of Equity Capital Markets and Investment Banking at UBS, and Chair and Chief Executive of UBS Group’s Asia Pacific businesses. Following more than a quarter-century of service at UBS, he was appointed Chief Executive of Coutts in 2010.
Bernard Coucke
Bernard Coucke, who serves as Deputy Chair of Quintet Private Bank’s Board of Directors, is a member of the senior management of Precision Capital, which represents the private interests of Quintet’s ultimate beneficial owner. Coucke previously served as CEO of Edmond de Rothschild (Europe), based in Luxembourg. Over the course of his more than 30-year financial services career, he held a range of roles of increasing responsibility at ING, the international bank headquartered in Amsterdam, including Global Head of ING Private Banking. Trained as a lawyer, Coucke holds a Master of Laws from KU Leuven and a Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD.
Ines De Dinechin
Inès de Dinechin, who joined Quintet Private Bank’s Board of Directors in March 2023, has more than 30 years of financial services experience. That includes nearly 25 years at Société Générale Group in roles such as Global Head of Sales for Derivatives & Solutions, Global Head of Structured Products and Global Head of HR within SG Corporate & Investment Bank. She held CEO and Chair roles for 10 years at Lyxor Asset Management and Aviva Investors. A Certified Board Director with significant Board experience, de Dinechin was named European Sustainable CEO of the Year in 2019. She holds a Master's in Finance from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, as well as a Master's in Management from the University of Paris Dauphine.
Giulia Fitzpatrick
Giulia Fitzpatrick, who joined Quintet Private Bank’s Board of Directors in March 2023, is a subject-matter expert in technology, digitalization and data, as well as risk management, having served at firms such as Bankers Trust, Merrill Lynch and UBS. Fitzpatrick is a member of the Board of Directors of a number of organizations in Switzerland, France and Poland. She holds a Bachelor’s in German Literature from the University of California, San Diego, an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
Anne Ruth Herkes
Anne Ruth Herkes previously served as State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, where she led Germany’s global trade interests, and EU and WTO trade negotiations. She has nearly 30 years of professional experience in politics, diplomacy, and economic affairs in Europe, the US, Japan and Qatar. She earlier served as Ambassador to Qatar and, before that, was a member of the Executive Management of BP Biofuels in London in her role as Vice President, Policy and Communications. She previously served on the board of KfW IPEX-Bank.
Antoine Marcolin
Antoine Marcolin, who was appointed to the Quintet Private Bank Board of Directors in August 2018, currently serves as Deputy CEO of Precision Capital, a bank holding company he joined as an Associate in 2014. An experienced financial services sector professional, he earlier served for six years at Deloitte Luxembourg in audit and corporate finance functions. A French national, Marcolin earned a degree in law from the University of Lille and an MA from the ESCEM School of Business and Management. He also holds an MBA from London Business School.
Marco Mazzucchelli
Marco Mazzucchelli has been active in the financial industry for over 30 years, covering Senior Executive roles for a number of leading institutions. Over the years, he also served as Independent Director on several Boards, including Borsa Italiana (IT), MTS (IT), EuroMTS (UK), Harrods Bank (UK), Lindorff Group (NOR), Ospedale San Raffaele (IT), Kairos Investment Management (IT). Additionally, he was Member of the European Commission High-Level Expert Group on Bank Structural Reform and of the European Banking Authority Stakeholders Group as well as Visiting Scholar at MIT Sloan.
Shahzad Shahbaz
Shahzad Shahbaz, who joined Quintet Private Bank’s Board of Directors in 2023, is a highly experienced investment professional who served for 25 years at Bank of America, rising to the position of Regional Head of Corporate & Investment Banking for Continental Europe, Emerging Europe, the Middle East & Africa. He then held leadership roles such as CEO of QInvest, the Qatari private investment bank, and CEO of Emirates NBD Investment Bank in Dubai. He currently serves as Group Chief Investment Officer and Principal Advisor at the family office of Quintet’s shareholder. Shahbaz holds a BA in Economics from Oberlin College in the United States.
Frank Ertel

Frank Ertel was appointed to the Quintet Private Bank Board of Directors in January 2021 as an employee representative from Quintet in Luxembourg. Ertel, who joined the bank in 1989, focused on securities for three decades, serving for nearly 25 years as a Senior Trader and Execution Officer in the Global Markets department. Chairman of Quintet’s European Works Council since 2016, he was elected as a permanent delegate at Quintet in Luxembourg in 2019. He earlier served as a Director from 2001-2017.

Bas Gradussen

Bas Gradussen was appointed to the Quintet Private Bank Board of Directors in June 2022 as an employee representative from InsingerGilissen in the Netherlands, subject to regulatory approval. He joined the bank in 2006 as a Senior Account Manager. In 2012 he became a Portfolio Manager and currently serves as a Senior Portfolio Manager SRI. He holds a Bachelor in Economics from the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified ESG Analyst. Gradussen has served as a member of the InsingerGilissen works council since 2016, including as chairman of it from 2018-2022.

Marie-Christine Schlag

Marie-Christine Schlag was appointed to the Quintet Private Bank Board of Directors in January 2021 as an employee representative from Puilaetco in Belgium. She joined the bank in 1997 as part of the Execution-Only team, then served as a Business Analyst. She is currently a Senior Credit Officer. A graduate of the University of Liège and EHSAL Management School, with degrees in Economics and Management, Schlag has served as a member of the Puilaetco works council since 2012.

Jan Tomasek

Jan Tomasek was appointed to the Quintet Private Bank Board of Directors in January 2021 as an employee representative from Merck Finck in Germany. He joined Merck Finck in 2008 and currently serves as a Senior Derivatives Trader. He has also served as a team leader on the Eurex desk, a client advisor and fund manager. The holder of a degree in Business Administration from VWA München with over 20 years of experience meeting client needs, Tomasek has served as a member of the Merck Finck works council since 2014 and was earlier a member of Merck Finck’s Supervisory Committee.

Precision Capital

Quintet Private Bank was acquired in 2012 by Precision Capital, a limited liability company.

Representing the private interests of Quintet’s ultimate beneficial owner, a member of the Al-Thani family of Qatar, Precision Capital holds 99.9% of Quintet Private Bank.

While the ultimate shareholder of Precision Capital has made a range of other private investments – including in areas such as financial services and real estate – Precision Capital exclusively oversees the investment in Quintet.
